MATT DAVIS NAMED MEN'S BASKETBALL HEAD COACH

ATHERTON, Calif. – Menlo College did not have to search long or hard to find a new men’s basketball coach, hiring assistant Matt Davis to take over the program just two weeks after former coach Brandon Laird departed for an assistant’s role at UC Davis. Davis was Laird’s top assistant in his first year on the Oaks staff in 2008-09 and brings more than two decades of coaching experience to his new role. full story
LAIRD LEAVES OAKS FOR ASSISTANT ROLE AT UC DAVIS

ATHERTON, Calif. – Menlo College men’s basketball head coach Brandon Laird took a big step forward by choosing to accept a position on the men’s basketball staff at NCAA Div. I UC Davis last week and return to his alma mater. Laird led the Oaks program for the past three seasons after spending three years as an assistant. He joins former Menlo head coach Kevin Nosek as an assistant on the Aggies staff. full story
